This class is designed for students who have taken a beginner level throwing class and want to learn more! Together, we will turn basic bowl, cylinder and plate forms in to functional objects like berry bowls, garlic roasters, lidded jars and pitchers. We will focus on taking the next steps towards making pots that can be used in the kitchen. The only prerequisite is the ability to confidently pull a cylinder.

2011 NCECA Graduate Student Fellowship Recipient

I am very excited to announce that I have been chosen to receive one of the 2011 NCECA Graduate Student Fellowship Awards. This fellowship will allow me to travel to the Bay Area of California to expand my research on contemporary food culture in the United States and it's relationship to studio pottery.
